It’s an alt-country Sunday at the Brunswick Ballroom!
Good Corn Liquor (NSW) are on tour, bringing their mix of country, blues, and bluegrass to The Brunswick Ballroom this February. With over 600 gigs under their belt, the band, which has been playing together since their teens, knows how to put on a high-energy show. After a tragic car accident in 2015 that claimed the life of their lead singer, Stu McKenzie, and left other members injured, the band made a strong return to the stage. They recently released their third EP, recorded in Newcastle and mixed by Steve Newton (John Williamson, Troy Cassar-Daley, Alan Caswell), with the lead single The Junction signaling a triumphant comeback.
Joining them are Melbourne's The Smith and Western Jury, blending alt-country with punk rock energy. Their debut album Hotel Texas (out June 2024) is already generating buzz with its heartache and grit. Also on the bill are Wild Dog Mountains, an exciting Melbourne-based act known for their unique blend of alt-country and Australiana, born out of a backyard shed in Thornbury.
Don’t miss this high-energy afternoon of country, blues, and bluegrass—three bands, one unforgettable show!
