Thelma and Louise, Elphaba and Glinda, Ugly Guy and Hot Wife. These are the iconic duos of our time... That is until Madi Chetcuti and Maddison Verduci perform an hour of straight-up mad duo vibing at 2025’s Melbourne International Comedy Festival with Mad C*nts

Mad C*nts is a chaotic exploration of the lengths you would go to to make a friendship a legacy, like leaking your own nudes via Dropbox or getting a BetterHelp therapist who moonlights as a Dangerfield employee. Exploring feminist ideas that swing all the way back around to sexism (horseshoe theory, anyone?) and multimedia references for all generations (Gen Z and millennial), Madi and Madison dare to dream of a world where two curly-headed brunettes (rare) can finally earn some respect as a duo.

After a sold-out Work In Progress show at 2024’s Defrost Festival, Mad C*nts is Madi and Maddison’s hotly anticipated Melbourne International Comedy Festival debut.

Madi Chetcuti and Maddison Verduci are Melbourne-based performers, writers, and improvisers, regularly performing sketch and improv at The Improv Conspiracy Theatre. They like to think they are juuuust like Patti Harrison (if she had curly hair), Broad City (if they were raised Roman Catholic) and The Lonely Island (if they were two women who didn’t sing).
