Producers, venues, artists give complimentary or reduced price tickets to ON-THE-HOUSE to help promote their productions. So while ON-THE-HOUSE is giving you a wealth of wonderful experiences, you are supporting the arts. All we ask you to do is tell your family, friends and neighbours to not miss the shows that you've already seen and loved. Your word of mouth helps bring in a paying audience. Word of mouth is the least expensive and the best publicity there is.

It is free to join! Once you join, you are automatically enrolled as a Bronze member. Some shows are available to Silver members only. You can upgrade to Silver membership for $25 which expires after 24 hours and your membership goes back to bronze. 

• Bronze Membership allows you to book many of the tickets offered by suppliers to ON THE HOUSE members.
• Bronze Members incur a small ON THE HOUSE admin fee between $5 - $20 each time a Bronze Member takes up promotional tickets on our site.
• Where a Bronze Member cancels and rebooks promotional tickets there is an additional admin fee charged.
• Bronze Members can also book cut-price tickets that incur an ON THE HOUSE fee, which varies with each event.
• You automatically become a Bronze Member when you join the service. Bronze Membership is free.

You will have no problems upgrading your membership if you use a PC or MAC computer. If you are using your iPhone or iPad to upgrade, the system will not let you.

An ON THE HOUSE ADMIN FEE is a flat administration fee of $10 is charged per transaction (not per ticket). It applies to complimentary promotional tickets given to ON THE HOUSE by suppliers. We are not on-selling these tickets. The admin fee simply covers our minimum administration costs, which enable us to continue offering an accessible service. Sometimes we offer special tickets to our members with no administration fees.

An ON THE HOUSE DISCOUNTED TICKET PRICE applies to tickets sold by suppliers on our site. Usually, these are reduced price tickets. The fee varies with each event, as different suppliers offer different discounts. Proceeds from ticket sales are paid to the supplier after the show is over.

This fee covers our expenses for packaging materials, labour hours for order fulfilment and general event management expenses. The handling fee will not exceed $15 per transaction.

As a Bronze Member, you start saving immediately! Sign up for Bronze Membership for free online. Then, for example, you could book a double pass to a show that retails at $35ea. by paying only the ON THE HOUSE ADMIN FEE of $10 - a saving of $60 immediately!

Sometimes restrictions are placed on how many active bookings you have in order to give other members of our service an opportunity to book tickets. These restrictions are lifted once tickets to certain exclusive events have been taken up. Your active bookings can be checked on your membership page.

Our events include some of the finest shows and venues. Shows include: well-reviewed dramas, cutting edge performances, repertory groups, musicals, cabaret, classic Shakespeare, experimental theatre, film screenings, magic shows, staged reading, lectures, chamber music, renowned dance troupes, improvisation and comedy clubs.

When you log into Upcoming Shows page, you will find information regarding the event, the location, the time and date of the show and number of tickets available.

Any event on our service (based upon ticket availability). You will find all the events listed on Upcoming Shows page which requires you to log into the site.

You can apply ONCE to any event (Also, you cannot use your Paypal account to pay for someone else's tickets). The organiser might offer single or double passes at their discretion. Sometimes, they may offer more tickets per member.

Keep checking this site! Sometimes the home page will give an indication of what events are coming up. We also send out regular eNewsletters.

We do not guarantee that you will attend any number of shows in a year. It is up to you to keep checking the website for upcoming events. We do not know who or how many tickets will be given to us at any time. We simply administer this site.

Reservations must be done via this website. Once you have logged in, go to the Events page, select the event, the number of tickets you want to book and click the Book Tickets button. You will see that there are no more tickets left by the ticket icon. If it is completely white that means all tickets are sold through our site. Where the ticket icon is red/organge, it means tickets are running out. Where the ticket icon is green that means most of the tickets originally allocated by the publicist are still available for purchase on our site.

Your tickets will be waiting for you at the Box Office before the show, unless otherwise arranged. Sometimes we deliver tickets to you. Where the process of organising delivery by post or by eTickets is required, there may be a delivery fee.

Memberships are NOT transferable. If you reserve tickets to a show, you must attend or cancel the tickets. You cannot gift tickets or resell them. Your membership may be suspended if you fail to abide by these rules.

When you log into the member area, navigate to the event you want to cancel tickets for and click the Cancel Reservation button. Please note that you will not be given a refund if you have simply changed your mind about an event.

YES. Failure to do so may result in suspension of your membership. People that give these tickets away count on seats being filled by ON THE HOUSE members. We do not want to let them down. Also, other members might be able to use the tickets that you cannot use. Failure to cancel your reservation within 24 hours of the show start time will also result in a $10 "No Show" fee.

Suppliers find it valuable to get an honest opinion of your experience at their event. We have made it mandatory to provide feedback. You must rate an event you have booked and seen before reserving more tickets. You don't have to use your name to do this. Each member has a nickname allocated to their account. You can also choose an avatar to display next to your nickname when providing feedback. Feedback can be as simple as a star rating. However, many members feel obliged to write about an event, particularly when they have had a wonderful experience!

We ask you to reserve tickets that pertain to the state and country that you specified in your profile. This policy might change down the track.

We cannot remove events from our site until the running of the actual show. The purpose of our site is to promote The Arts. Therefore, even when there are no more tickets left for purchase through us, you can always purchase tickets at the venue box office or ticket agency.

We comply with processes and procedures as required by event organisers. As a result of COVID-19, we must provide organisers information about members strictly to secure your tickets.
