This year marks the 3rd year for the Children’s International Film Festival (CHIFF). Bringing global films to the Australian children’s market, CHIFF is a fantastic and unique opportunity to increase cultural exposure while the international borders remain closed.
The festival is being held in Sydney and Melbourne at several different theatre locations and features more than 20 globally diverse contemporary and classic films. With such a large range of films on offer, CHIFF caters to children from ages 4-16, so there is something for everyone.
The highlight of the festival is the Australian release of Lassie Come Home. A fantastic film that will sit fondly with children as well as adult children nostalgic from childhood, Lassie Come Home is a modern German remake of the much loved children’s movie from 1943 and 2005. This modern remake is a lighter telling of the earlier movies, and is sure to create a positive and friendly viewing experience.
But it’s not only children who will appreciate this fantastic festival. Some of the critically acclaimed films on offer that are sure to be enjoyed by all include The Bear’s Famous Invasion of Sicily and The Prince’s Voyage.
The festival is a fantastic opportunity to escape the temperamental East Coast weather and immerse yourself and your family in a unique opportunity. Playing from the 27th November to 13th December, Children’s International Film Festival is a festival that will delight and enthral its audience from ages 4 to 94.
