Circus 1903 takes you to the days of Barnum & Bailey with acts that take you beyond your imagination The Greatest Show on Earth - only modernised.
Contortionists, acrobats, knife throwers, high-wire performers and a bicycle stuntman will transport you in time to the last century. The backdrop and costumes are all inline with what you would expect back in the day.
The glue for this show is the very sharp, dry humoured Ringmaster, Willy Whipsnade (David Williams). Throughout the evening Williams captivates the audience through his storytelling of how the circus evolved over the years which conjures a dreamy, romantic feeling of the past.
And what's a circus without animals? An ingenious addition to this show are life size elephant puppets from the puppeteers of 'War Horse' . These puppets are all but breathing!
Each act in Circus 1903 brings a contemporary element of surprise and thrill. The bravery of the performers is astounding. Through their strength and agility, they give the illusion of weightlessness. These performers are the creme de la creme of their profession and have been plucked from different parts of the globe to bring a top quality show.
Circus 1903 is not your typical circus. If you want to escape this world for a few hours and experience magic then this is the show for you.
